Chinese delegates, hope to meet you all up real soon. See ya there!
Yay,
It’s Fontane joining the Adopt a Negotiator team. I’m going to represent the general public in China, to observe and report on the progress going to be made by the Chinese delegates. I came from Hong Kong, and I’ve spent some time at Holland for exchange study, the Philippines for volunteering – rebuilding home for disaster victims, Australia for my Masters. The more I stay away from the motherland, the more I want to take part in helping China to develop in a sustainable way.
Graduated with a business degree, I’m now undertaking a master of corporate environmental and sustainability management in Australia. What motivated me to have a switch the field from business to a “green” postgraduate degree could be traced back to what happened in 2006. I joined WWF Hong Kong office as a communication intern, through participating in various press events in the wild or with the experts, there I came to realize that there is no shortcut to creating a better planet – for all the living creatures, and the generations coming after us. Certainly, corporations as the major players in any society would have their roles and social responsibilities to protect this planet.
Being one of the trackers of the Adopt a Negotiator team, my objective is to channel out the message to people in China and Hong Kong that we need a fair, practical or even ambitious goal to combat climate change. We need all nations to clear up this mess inherit long long time ago.
My fellow classmate inspired me with his observation, a fair observation from the foreigner’s perspective – China’s not the sole one responsible for the climate change problems, he didn’t want to see China to become the scapegoat for the fault jointly contributed by the world that relies heavily on China’s manufacturing products. From that moment on, it became my mission to provide more information, perspectives and analysis with depth, with fun, and more importantly, fair comments to the progress exhibited and committed by the Chinese government.
Together we can, create a better place in China and a better world, if only we care.

Thank you for the good info! I have a lot of Chinese classmates here in Sweden and became deeply curious about your country! Looking forward to get the Chinese perspective on the negotiations out of a tracker’s perspective!
