To give you a little inside and insight on some of the perspectives here at the Barcelona Climate Talks, we’re putting together a few daily interviews with some of the influencers in these negotiations that are willing to speak with us.
On Monday, the Climate Action Network kicked off their week with a press conference on the big picture (where are we on the road to Copenhagen) and a preview of the week ahead.
Ole spoke with Greenpeace China’s Yang Ailun, who spoke about positive steps made by developing countries over the last few months and how Barcelona was the time for developed countries to step up. She spoke about China’s role and obligations in the climate talks and more.
Angela Anderson from US Climate Action Network (USCAN), was kind enough to spend a few minutes with us discussing her take on the US role in Barcelona and the lead up to Copenhagen Monday – she talks about the US Congress, Kyoto, and more…
Ole also got the chance to speak with WWF’s lead on global climate policy, Kim Carstensen, who stressed high ambitions and getting a legally binding agreement in Copenhagen – which is what he thinks negotiators in Barcelona should be working on.
