And especially Louise: it’s an awesome responsibility you have there, having your name attached to Australia’s efforts – or lack thereof. I imagine there are many who look at us in amazement that with our education system we haven’t`done more with the our natural advantages, that our economy is still reliant on digging up masses of coal and sending it around the world to become greenhouse gas. Especially when we are so well placed to tap into a renewables economy, and we have so much to lose from drastic climate change, the Barrier Reef and our food bowl. We must look like the village idiot, albeit a rich one.

A little worried today by our own Newcastle NBN news report on Copenhagen. The only person they can manage to find to interview is ‘one of our leading meteorologists’, who is a skeptic. Good work NBN.

I really hope there is a fair ambitious and binding deal made at copenhagen. We have had enough greenwash, we just want change for the better.

Thanks for the update… Such a potentially momentous occasion is causing a stir back here as well.
We are all watching very carefully!
If only we had stronger targets, then at least we would have a decent starting platform.
