Path to Paris: Our first step

Are you ready to take your first steps on the Path to Paris?

We are, and we can’t wait for you to join us.

HERE on May 4, UTC 15:00

Join us HERE on May 3, UTC 15:00

  • We’ll introduce you to a past UN negotiator to talk more about the year ahead in the negotiations.

  • We’ll also introduce you to some past Climate Tracker participants, who can give you first-hand accounts from last year’s efforts.

  • Finally, we’ll lay out our Climate Tracker plans for the year.

I know it’s a lot to get through, but we’ll race through this first webinar, giving you everything you need to know to succeed in the year ahead.

Paris

The Climate Tracker program aims to be the worlds largest Climate writing movement. Together, we’ll set the world’s media headlines alight with articles all around the world highlighting the impacts of Climate Change facing us all, and the need for our government’s to do more to combat it.

But before we start, we’ll walk you through the basics, and get you all prepared for an exciting year ahead.

To update you on all the important issues from inside the UN negotiations, we’ll be chatting to a former negotiator from one of the world’s most controversial countries inside the UN negotiations. Any guesses who this could be?

We’ll also chat with some of last year’s climate trackers. We’ll be asking about their experience in what was last year’s writing movement, and the struggles and triumphs they had on their own path to Lima.

We’ll then give you a chance to meet some of the team behind the scenes with Adopt A Negotiator. They’ll be able to give you an update on their plans for the the Climate Tracker program this year, and be on standby to answer any of your questions.

If you want to ask a question, get onto Twitter and tweet your question to @adoptnegotiator and use the #climatetracker

This will allow us to answer your question LIVE, or continue the discussion online later. We’ll also be recording the webinar, and checking up on the #climatetracker to see if any questions come in over the next days and weeks.

But nothing beats the LIVE experience.

This is your chance to be involved in the world’s largest climate writing movement, and we hope you’ll be able to join us

  • Caroline

    Is the video out Chris?

  • Chris

Hi all, we will have a blog up in the next few hours with a bit of a summary and some ideas on next steps, but if you want to watch the video - you can just click on the video embedded in this blog

  • Chris

    Yes

  • Chris

    Awesome, thanks Xolisa

  • Chris

Definitely, as long as they are not hegemonic students as well

  • Chris

You can just click on the video link in this blog

  • Chris

Definitely - everyone is welcome to participate in the Climate Tracker program. The fellowship will be given at the end of the program and I will guarantee that developing country participants have just as much chance as developed country participants - and considering that there are many more developing countries than developed countries - they arguably have a better chance.

Last year our delegation was made up of Trackers from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kenya, India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Taiwan, Italy, Spain, Poland and Canada

  • Ndu Vico

Chris can you please make it possible that in this years delegation a person from the African continent is there so as to give Africa a voice and acknowledgment. Just a suggestion chris
