Open call for guest post submissions

Dear friends, colleagues and fellow negotiation trackers,

I run a TckTckTck campaign project called Adopt a Negotiator. We have a team of exceptional young ‘negotiator trackers’ from 11 countries in Cancun - following their country’s delegations throughout the Cancun Climate Change Conference and blogging about it. After much persistence, we’ve earned the occasional attention our negotiators. As a result, adoptanegotiator.org is becoming one of their daily stops online.

I know that many of you are doing excellent work online, writing about your own negotiator ‘tracking’ efforts; so I’d like to invite you to use our site as a platform for getting more exposure. If you’re following the negotiations closely and want to have your say, we’d be honored to receive your submission for guest posts on our website.

If you’re interested, see our submission guidelines below. This is what we’re looking for in the guest posts we’ll publish:

1) It’s a blog post. We know you’re smart, but our readers go elsewhere for position papers and academic reports. Keep it short, focused, and accessible to laypersons and experts alike.

2) It’s timely and on topic. We’re looking for posts about your country’s negotiators and about the negotiations in Cancun. Help our readers understand your country’s role in this process; what’s happening (or not happening) inside; why it matters to you!

3) It’s in good taste. We get fired up too, and we all know the stakes couldn’t be higher - but calling people names doesn’t solve anything. Don’t be mean - be smart.

4) It’s in the spirit of the TckTckTck campaign. Ok, that’s really broad and hard to define… but we’re sticking to it. Think: race to a better world.

5) It’s really really good stuff! We’re looking for insightful, smart, creative, accurate, compelling, articulate,… surprise us! Ignite our imaginations! Blow our minds! If it’s really really good, we’ll do what we can to ensure it gets read.

At this stage in the project, I can’t publish everything, but if you fit the above criteria, I love to see what you’ve got.
