The Youth will Intervene! (First Round, Bangkok)
After two days of workshops, negotiations are officially underway. The first session was on a second commitment period for the Kyoto Protocol, crucial for avoiding a dangerous gap in efforts to address climate change before a new international treaty can be agreed. Negotiators agreed to an agenda for the next few days of work.
But negotiators weren’t the only speakers giving their views on how talks should proceed and what should come of them - youth had their say as well. Here’s the Sushila Pandit, representing future generations (thanks Sushila!):
